At one of the world’s most premier bodybuilding competitions, Phil Heath proved once again that he is one of the greatest to ever take the stage as he won the title of Mr. Olympia on Saturday night from the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Here is a look at the finals:T Nation showed Heath posing with the Sandow Trophy:It is Heath’s sixth-consecutive Mr. Olympia title, tyingDorian Yates, who won six titles from 1992-1997, for fourth-most wins ever in the competition. Only five men, including Heath, have won the award five or more times.RXMuscle.com showed the final standings:Heath didn’t just get a trophy though, as the top 10 contestants came away with a solid payday:Shawn Rhoden, who is a native of Jamaica, took second place in what was his highest finish ever at this competition. He previously finished in third at the previous two Mr. Olympias, which improved on a fourth-place finish in 2013.Dexter Jackson, who won a Mr. Olympia in 2008, finished third Saturday night to continue his impressive career despite being two months away from turning 47 years old.A third-place result was the sixth top-three finish of his career at Mr. Olympia. Last year, he finished second behind Heath. But continuing the trend that has dominated Mr. Olympia for the past six years, Heath has pieced together one of the greatest dynasties in bodybuilding. While it might be a somewhat early to look toward next year, Heath has an opportunity to tie Arnold Schwarzenegger with seven titles while becoming the first man to win seven in a row since Ronnie Coleman won eight straight from 1998-2005.Stats courtesy of MrOlympia.com.
